Collision Course: Ricochet Sets His Sights, Will He Defend the Title Successfully Against the Unknown Challenger?

AEW Collision is set to light up Columbus, Ohio, on December 6, 2025, and the Greater Columbus Convention Center is gearing up for an electrifying night of wrestling action. With the stakes higher than ever, fans are in for one heck of a show featuring the AEW National Title bout with Ricochet defending his championship against an opponent yet to be announced! Additionally, we’ll have two AEW TBS Title defenses, high-stakes Continental Classic matches, and potential show stealers as new and seasoned talent collide. It's an event that promises heart-stopping moments and shocking surprises!

AEW National Title Match: Ricochet (c) vs. ???

While Ricochet has established himself as a phenomenal champion after winning the AEW National Title, the question remains—who will step up to challenge him? His recent dominance was highlighted at Full Gear, where he claimed victory to become the inaugural champion in an intense Casino Gauntlet match. With this momentum behind him, he is undoubtedly eager to showcase his skills again, especially after expressing his willingness to defend the title around the world.

One intriguing angle is the potential challengers hinted at during AEW Collision on November 27. The level of intensity surrounding Ricochet has heightened, especially given his clashes with members of factions like The Demand. If he faces someone like Konosuke Takeshita or even someone surprising like Roderick Strong, the implications would be huge! A win for Ricochet could solidify his reign, while a loss might herald a new championship era for AEW.

AEW TBS Title Match: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Leila Grey

In an exciting matchup for the AEW TBS Championship, Mercedes Mone defends her title against Leila Grey. Mone, after an impressive run leading to the title, faced slight setbacks, including a loss to Kris Statlander at Full Gear. That said, she comes into this match with a chip on her shoulder. Grey’s confidence surged following her performance against top-tier talent, but overcoming the experience and skill of Mone will be no easy task. This matchup could be crucial for both women — a win for Grey could send shockwaves through the women’s division, while a decisive victory for Mone could reinvigorate her title reign.

Continental Classic 2025 Blue League Match: Roderick Strong vs. Orange Cassidy

Roderick Strong finds himself square off against the unique style of Orange Cassidy in a highly anticipated Blue League match. Strong's focus on aggression and technique contrasts sharply with Cassidy's laid-back persona and unexpected athleticism. Cassidy has been steadily gaining popularity, and after some impressive showings in previous weeks, including his rivalry with PAC and FTR, he potentially has all the momentum in his corner. A win here could see Cassidy climb closer to the top of the standings, but Strong’s determination can’t be overlooked. This match could be full of unexpected twists and add even more depth to the Continental Classic storyline.

Continental Classic 2025 Blue League Match: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Mascara Dorada

Claudio Castagnoli continues his pursuit of C2 glory as he takes on Mascara Dorada in another key Blue League bout. Castagnoli's recent emotional victory against Jon Moxley at Dynamite adds to his momentum, showing he is a serious contender. Mascara Dorada, known for his high-flying style, will need to utilize every trick in his book to stay competitive. If Castagnoli can stymie Dorada's aerial offense, it could lead him closer to a decisive win, propelling him further up the standings.

Continental Classic 2025 Blue League Match: Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita

In what promises to be a hard-hitting clash, Jon Moxley faces off against Konosuke Takeshita. The stakes are high following Moxley’s defeat to Claudio Castagnoli earlier this month, leaving him scrambling to regain momentum in the tournament. This bout could go a long way in deciding the future landscape of AEW, especially with Takeshita's rising status and his captivating performances in previous matches. Both wrestlers have something to prove, making this a match to watch closely!

As the pieces of this matching puzzle fit together, it's clear that fans can expect one of AEW's most thrilling nights yet. With champions defending their titles, rising stars vying for supremacy, and the storyline direction of the Continental Classic hanging in the balance, the show is filled with potential surprises and epic confrontations.
