Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) is an American independent professional wrestling promotion based in New Jersey. It was founded in 1999 as Jersey Championship Wrestling (JCW) by Ricky Otazu, and was rebranded under its current name in 2015. GCW specializes in hardcore wrestling, as well as mixed martial arts–inspired shoot style matches.
Some of the notable wrestlers who have competed in GCW include Nick Gage, Joey Janela, Jon Moxley, Minoru Suzuki, and Chris Jericho. The promotion has also held events in Japan and Mexico.
In recent years, GCW has become one of the most popular independent wrestling promotions in the United States. It has been praised for its innovative booking and its willingness to push the boundaries of what is considered acceptable in professional wrestling.
